VLSI } 003 } SoC design using cores and mixed-signal design aspects }

This video lecture discusses some practical concerns about system-on-a-chip design with respect to mixed-signal cores. It is difficult to design working mixed-signal IP core. The complexity lies in the fact that mixed signal design integrates two different kind of mind sets: digital and analog. In one world there is no concept of clock and other is totally dependent on clock signal. Its like two people trying to communicate who do not know each other’s language. This become very important and complex to deal with this situation. This lecture discuss some finer points which every chip designer should be aware of at least if not expert about these.

I hope you guys like this lecture and let me know more interesting topics on which you like to see lecture.
